Jen’s Dogs was born out of a passion for animals – and a deep understanding of the worry that pet owners face when going on holiday:

Will my pet be looked after correctly?
Will they realise if my pet gets ill or doesn’t eat?
Will extra care be taken during a storm, during fireworks or if my pet shows any kind of distress due to separation anxiety?
Will my pet get sufficient exercise?
Will my pet get played with, stroked, loved and cuddled?
Where will my pet sleep at night?
Will my pet be fed the correct diet, get his / her medication on time and generally get individual attention?

These are just some of the questions I have asked myself every time I have gone away. Needless to say, I ended up building a holiday home at the coast, so I could take my animals with me! My pets are my family and I have never wanted to leave them in a cage whilst I go on holiday (who can relax then anyway?). I have also had pets who are afraid of thunder, lightning and fireworks (I have spent most new year’s evenings at home). My one dog is old, frail, deaf and almost blind and cannot even eat without his little legs splaying wide. How can I relax on holiday?

After chatting to various other pet lovers, I came to realise that there are other people just like me – people who are MAD about their pets and who will not compromise on care. After having run a very successful pet grooming parlour for quite a few years, I decided to channel my business into pet boarding.
